My Grandpa Paul Burmeister and Emil Burmeister were first cousins with Harvey’s dad, Henry Ulrich. My mom was Henry’s second cousins, and Harvey’s third cousin. So Carol is Harvey’s fourth cousins.

Henry had a brother named Paul Ulrich.

Henry was married to Emily and they had 7 kids, among them Harvey, Herman, Mildred, Leonard, Raymond, Myrlo and Lois.

Harvey Ulrich

Harvey Herman Ulrich was born on May 8, 1921, in Bear Lake Township, McLeod County, Minnesota. He was the son of Henry and Emily (Grady) Ulrich. Harvey was baptized as an infant, and later confirmed in his faith as a youth at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. He received his education in Hutchinson and was a graduate of Hutchinson High School Class of 1939.

Harvey resided in the Hutchinson area most of his life. Harvey was employed with Triple C’s Construction in Plainview, Minnesota, as a construction worker, and at 3M as a material coordinator. He retired in 1986. Harvey was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, Minnesota, where he served as an usher for many years.

Harvey enjoyed fishing, deer hunting and was an avid cribbage player. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

When Harvey needed assistance with his care, he became a resident of the Burns Manor Nursing Home in Hutchinson, Minnesota on August 13, 2009. He passed away there on March 12, 2011, at the age of 89 years.

Harvey is preceded in death by his Parents, Henry and Emily Ulrich; Brothers, Leonard Ulrich and his wife, Agnes, Raymond Ulrich and his wife, Eunice, Brother-In-Law, Henry Neubarth; Sisters, Myrlo Homan and Lois Hogan.
